JCATS Tryouts 2024-2025 - Winter 2024

Register now for our 2024-2025 JCATS Basketball Tryouts!  The tryout fee is $30 and is non-refundable. Tryout registration opens September 3. Tryout dates are as follows...

4th Grade: Sunday, October 13 from 6:00-7:30pm (at Canlan Libertyville)

5th Grade: Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15 from 6:30-7:45pm (at LHS)

7th Grade: Monday, October 14 and Tuesday, October 15 from 8:15-9:30pm (at LHS)

6th Grade: Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17 from 6:30-7:45pm (at LHS)

8th Grade: Wednesday, October 16 and Thursday, October 17 from 8:15-9:30pm (at LHS)

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Where are tryouts held?: 4th Grade Tryouts will be at Canlan Sports Complex on Sunday, October 13th. 5th-8th Grade Tryouts will be at the LHS Field House. Be sure to check in at the front entrance.
  • What should my son bring to tryouts?: Each player should bring his own basketball (clearly labeled with his name) and a water bottle. Players will receive a pinny on the first night of tryouts. Bring this pinny to the second night also.
  • How early should I arrive for tryouts?: Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tryout time, as we will be completing the previous grade level's tryouts and boys will not be allowed in the gym early.
