Coach Carlucci has been in coaching for over 30 years…after finishing his baseball playing career at Illinois State University, Coach Carlucci has coached football, basketball and baseball at various age levels.  For the last 16 years, Coach Carlucci has been the Varsity Asst baseball coach at Libertyville High School.  Coach Carlucci has coached JCats basketball on and off again for the last 10 years.  Most recently, Coach Carlucci is the Coaching Coordinator for the JCats program.  Coach Carlucci works very closely with LHS Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach Brian Zyrkowski to ensure that our feeder program closely resembles our Varsity program experience.  JCats boys basketball is a great opportunity to teach young boys important life skills…while they continue down the path of trying to reach their potential from an individual and team standpoint.

8th Grade White Head Coach

Kyle Hanson

I am a Libertyville/Green Oaks Resident and Parent. I’ve coached one or more of my 4 boys(14,12,8,5) in basketball every year for the last 8 years. For the last two years I have been involved in JCATS as an assistant coach. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead this year of leading a JCATS Team and helping to instill the fundamentals and attitude that we want from the young men in our program. I have been a life long basketball player (albeit intramurals and pickup games only for the last 28 years) and besides golf, there’s nothing else I like to do more than lace them up and play. It’s that love of the game that motivated me to get my 4 boys involved in the game at an early age and pushed me to devote the limited time and energy I have with my busy schedule to helping to teach this game that I love to play.

I've been a Libertyville resident for 20+ years. I've spent the last 6 years coaching a number of sports including youth basketball, however this is my first JCats experience.  I graduated from Loyola Academy in 1982 playing basketball all 4 years.  As a junior and senior I played varsity ball leading the Ramblers in scoring.  Back in college, I attended Loyola University playing for the Ramblers from 1983-1988.  The highlight was playing in the NCAA tourney in 1985 and advancing to the sweet sixteen only to be beat by Georgetown University.
